  1. The Day God Called You Home

God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.

He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain.
And knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw your path was difficult, he closed your tired eyes,
He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly.
When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain,
We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again.
You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide,
You live on through your family, you're always by our side.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you on the day God called you home

  2. Since I've known Fran he was always very generous. He would give me and my family very helpful advise. In the late 80's when I was going through a very difficult time in my life due to my mom's divorce, he went for a drive with me and advised me towards my future. To this day I remember that conversation and thanks to him I am a successful engineer. Since my wife and I were dating as teenagers and continuing to last year, he would always encourage us to have free time alone (away from our daughters)... he would always give us 'Mad' money. I don't know where the expression originated but I thought one of the Richardsons could help me.

Thank you all for supporting my mom during these tough times and I feel closer to my family from 'out West'. Even though we are busy please include us in your invitations to family gatherings... who knows maybe our schedules will conincide and we will bring our small Miami family of eleven to join you :-)

Love you all and again thank you!
Fran I will miss you and you are in my thoughts forever.

  3. Irma - thank-you for all you have given to my brother, Fran, over all these years. You indeed were the "love of his life". I never heard him say a negative or bad word about you, but rather he sang your praise for you help, kindness, and charm. He thought you were the most intelligent, thoughtful, and caring woman in the world, and was honored that you were his wife. To me it is the highest form of honor that anyone can give, when someone so close to you has only wonderful things to say.

How I enjoyed finally meeting your family. They are wonderful! To Richard and Anna, and Maggie and Ray, thank you for supporting Irma and Fran all these years. He loved you as his own, and loved the time he shared with you. We would absolutely love to have you come to our gatherings or to just come whenever you have vacation time (Utah or Chicago)

And to the Miami Family of friends and work acquaintances thank-you for sharing your stories, your praise, and thoughtfulness for my brother, Fran. Through you I learned so much more about him, and now feel closer to him and honor him more for all that he shared with you.

Fran will be greatly missed! I love him and honor him.

  4. Irma,

As you know, Fran and I had a special relationship. He was a friend and mentor. He helped me navigate the "politics" of Mercy and protected me from a lot of the non-sense. I will miss him always.
